Lunch with Cousins and Aunts

Wow it's been forever that I have written on our blog! This last Saturday Sarah and I went to Lunch at Ruby Tuesday's with my Aunt's and Cousins! We had so much fun, we ate visited, laughed, Sang a annoying version on Happy Birthday, to ( Aunt Louise, Aunt Venna, and Gale ( Louise's Husband). We just had a great time. Then Sarah and I went to see Becah and Riley. Riley had a lot to tell us, and jabbered a lot. Then he and Aunt Sarah ran through the house making all kinds of noises.

This is a picture of Robert and his zone. Also he got ill this week he has been great up until last week and then he got sick so they give them a medicine they call the bomb, It kills parasites and bugs in their bowels. Anyway a side note, the Giant pictured in a earlier post is a former robber, Robert said he is not sure what he does now, but felt like a little school boy when he went to shake his hand.

I finally was able to get the pictures to work, with the help of my favorite son-in-law Jordan. He is a computer whiz. Anyway Robert and his companion Elder Aguenta from Guatemala. And the picture of a guy they call the giant, the sunset is from the top of his apartment. And then he caught a Iguana to eat for lunch but it was to small so they let it go. He is having a wonderful time and he is a great missionary.

Family reunions!!!

We had a Terrific Ogden Reunion this year. It was held at the American Fork Recreation Center. Then we all gathered for lunch at the Rotary Park. There is nothing funner than being together as family. Thanks to Janet and Elaine for all their hard work.

We went to Robert's Mission President's welcome home. It is President Randall Ridd and wife Tamira. Rob loved them so much. While I have had Robert out on his mission, I have become acquainted with many of the other Missionary Moms. I love them all so much, we were able to get together and visit at the homecoming it was so much fun.

Riley had surgery to put in a G-Tube in his tummy. He is so brave, and he is a fighter. He was in hospital only 2 days. We love our Riley!

Rob was transferred from Duran to Portoviejo. He loves it there, it is near the coast. He says he eats seafood nearly every day. It has palm trees, and little dirt roads, he feels like he is in heaven . He also has a great new apartment, with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, and it is brand new, so he is loving it right now. Sarah is Finally Home!!!

It's amazing how having one person gone from a family be so odd. With Sarah in Arizona, it was just Mark and I. Yup we were empty nesters.... I must admit it was nice at times to just be able to come home, and have a clean house, and not have to worry about getting dinner fixed. Mark and I just winged it sometimes it was cooking at home and sometimes we went out. Amazing enough we did not argue hardly at all. I guess we knew it was just us so we had to get along. I am however, very glad that Sarah is home. I missed her so much. With my mom being in the hospital, now going past a month. It will be nice to have extra support. Aimee and her kids have been here to help take care of my dad, and I appreciate that very much also. Well thats about all the news for now.

Last night Randy and Becah got news from the doctor that Riley has SMA(spinal muscle atrophy). Words cannot express the grief and heartache we feel right now. There are several stages and the doctor felt that since it presented itself before age 6 months that it is the most severe form which we will only have Riley on earth with us a short while. It is so hard to comprehend , that all Randy and Becah went through to get this sweet baby,it just does not seem fair.. Keep praying!!

Hey Everyone...Our grandson Riley is undergoing some tests. The have found out he has a problem with his muscle function. This could be as severe as Spinal Muscle Atrophy( which he would only live to be about 2). Or it could be as simple as a enzyme missing, and would need some physical therapy and a few other things. So we keep him in our prayers that things will be simple.

The Mark and Michele Ogden Family have now set up their family blog! We can now let you see the updates on our family here.

It's amazing that on June 10th, 1978, this wonderful family started.

Our oldest Marc Randall II, married Rebecah Bryant on May 13th 2004, they now have Marck Riley, who was born December 19th, 2007. They have a cute little home in Toole, Utah.

Aimee married Brandon Stanworth on Nov.15th,2002.They have three children, McKenzie, Kelton and Kyle. The live in Leamington, Utah.Brandon drives cross country truck and is not home very much.

Heather married Jordan Matthew Cook on June 18th, 2004. They were just blessed with Garrett Jordan Cook on March 15th,2008. They live in Pleasant Grove, Utah.

Adam is living in Wherever land....sometimes in West Valley, sometimes at home. He has not met the girl of his dreams yet... He works in Salt Lake and is just deciding where he wants his life to go.

Sarah is in Arizona right now, she is training to be a dental assistant. She is working for Dr. Mark Anderson, and totally loving it. She had her Liver and Kidney transplant on August 18th, 2007. Everyday we thank her donor family for this wonderful gift...she has done amazing in her recovery.

Robert...or RobBob..is in Guayaquil, Ecuador North Mission, he is serving right now in the city of Duran. He has had many great experiences and sees a high volume of baptisms. He loves it there and his spanish is coming along great.

Wow what a great family we have!
